If you came this far you probably actually care a bit about information security, non-repudiability, forensics and the contribution technology can make IF it works.
We are planning a conference in forensic cybernetics in Alameda, CA in July, 2001. This is a call for papers. Please submit papers to root@forensic-cybernetics.org
by May 1, 2002.

The aim of the Forensic Cybernetics Association is to find new paths to secure, innovative and practical solutions for human-machine interactions. New security technologies, new algorithms for non-repudiatible submissions, new cryptography and realistic suggestions for airline and other transportation security will be greatly appreciated.
We have NOT been impressed by the range of face/voice recognition technologies and are painfully aware of the failures of the security 'industry' to protect the air traveller. We are especially anxious to hear from those of you who have real solutions to identity and authentication issues.
Our first International Conference in Forensic Cybernetics will be focussed on the role of machines in assisting humans in the task of risk and threat analysis. So far machine threat analysis is weak. The technologies to provide security are penetratible. We would like to see solutions that take into account the human factor. And of course we are always available to consult with serious efforts.
